SF Access and Shop-a-Round fares must be paid in cash or with prepaid tickets on the SF Paratransit vehicle at the time of service. If payingin cash, please have the exact fare amount ready for payment as you board; drivers are not able to make change. Each ticket is equal tothe full fare. Companions or guests traveling with aneligible rider must pay the full fare. A personal care attendant (PCA), as defined under the ADA, rides for free when accompanying a certified rider.
Paratransit Taxi fares are paid using a SF Paratransit debit card issued to pre-authorized riders. Value must be added to the card prior to use. Monthly debit card value purchases are limited by the individual's monthly purchase allotment. When a rider is first enrolled, a standard monthly allotment is assigned. Patrons may request an allotment increase, subject to review and approval by SF Paratransit staff, based upon typical monthly need. Monthly allotments will be strictly enforced.
Tickets and debit card value may be purchased in person from the San Francisco Paratransit Broker office at 68 - 12th Street, 1st Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103-1297 or through the mail at the same address. Purchases by cash must be made in person. Purchases by check or money order may be made in person or by mail.When purchasing by mail, please allow up 4 to 6 days from receipt of your payment for return delivery. A $15 fee will be assessed for each bounced check. Patrons with unpaid fees or repeated bounced checks may be subject to disciplinary action, including suspension of riding privileges.
